This Windows application has all that takes to monitor your network efficiently. After installing and loading the application, a virtual adapter will be added to the system, which is used for monitoring all incoming and outgoing traffic. When starting up the application for the first time, a couple of warning messages will appear on the screen, related to the applications which try to access the Internet.

The user will be able to configure each application to access the Internet, according to its importance. As such, the network speed for some programs can be lowered, for generating less traffic. The interface of BWMeter features several tabs and it's really easy to use. The program can be configured to display the total traffic generated in a certain day or week and it also includes a filter for separating the Internet from the local area network.

BWMeter includes a stop watch, for measuring the exact network and Internet speed. What's more, there are several alerts that can be configured, for running when a certain amount of traffic is exceeded. The application includes a remote option, for accessing it remotely, from any location on the Internet and viewing complete statistics regarding your network traffic.
